1.) Online Applications – After you have submitted the Online Admissions Application, please allow one (business) day for your application to be loaded onto our system. You will receive a COD student email account which will be your username followed by @mycod.us This email account may take up to 48 hours before it is active and available for use. Your @mycod.us email account will be the primary method of communication between you and College of the Desert.
2.) Registrations & Drops for Blackboard – The Blackboard site is a learning management system that allows you to communicate with your peers, stay informed of upcoming due dates, submit assignments, view your grades and more. If you register for a course between 4:01 AM to 12 PM, your course should be available to view on the Blackboard site around 3PM that day. If you register between 12:01 PM and 4 AM, the course will be available on Blackboard around 7 AM the following day.
3.) WebAdvisor is COD's online academic management system. It is where you register for classes, drop classes, add to a waitlist, view a class schedule, view placement test scores, view financial aid information, check your balance, submit payments, print an unofficial transcript, and check grades. WebAdvisor allows you to see when a course is dropped or when you are registered in real time, there is no delay.
4.) If you have not enrolled in any courses for one year or more, you can no longer access WebAdvisor, Blackboard, mycod email, or any other student site. To enroll in courses again, you must complete the Online Admissions Application.
